Voyager Search makes it simple to index and make a large variety of content searchable from a single point of search. While directly indexing content is great, users often want to transform or normalize pieces of content as they are being added to the index. Voyager’s Indexing Pipeline provides functions to transform and manipulate the properties (metadata) of data records at indexing time. With pipelines, you can add new fields, chop off the last bit of field values, copy or replace field values, or add custom python pipeline steps. With the release and introduction of our newest product, Vose, we’ve reimagined and updated the entire pipeline user interface and experience, making it easier than ever.

The framework is broken up into the various stages of the indexing process.

At any stage, various pipeline steps can easily be added from a list with minimal effort.

Buttons at the bottom of each step allow the steps to be reordered or moved to different indexing stages effortlessly.

Form validation ensures that mistakes are caught and avoided before being applied to content.

Custom python pipeline steps are still available and extremely easy to add. Once added to the voyager config folder, they appear in the UI immediately for use.

After you’ve created the pipeline, it’s shown in an easy-to-access list. No more digging around and guessing and checking which button to press to view and edit the pipeline.
