About Voyager
Voyager is building the intelligence layer for the world’s most complex data. Our platform handles the technical complexity that traditional search tools can’t, indexing and enriching massive volumes of data so teams can discover what they have, understand it in context, and act on it with confidence. You’ll be joining a company at the intersection of AI, search innovation, and geospatial technology, shaping how people understand the world around them. We’re a small, fast-moving team with big ambitions: to make data intelligence accessible and actionable for every organization.

Role Summary

Voyager Search is hiring a UI/UX Designer who will be responsible for the visual design and aesthetics of the Voyager product user interface, ensuring a modern, consistent, and engaging experience that aligns with the product's brand and usability goals. Voyager Search is a B2B enterprise product, not a consumer-facing app. Our users are analysts, GIS professionals, data scientists, and technical professionals who rely on Voyager Search’s interface to search, visualize, and manage complex geospatial and metadata-rich datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Design wireframes and prototypes into polished visual designs.

  • Create high-fidelity mockups and visual designs for the next generation Voyager platform.

  • Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI component libraries.

  • Ensure visual consistency and adherence to brand guidelines throughout the application.

  • Work with frontend developers to ensure accurate implementation of UI designs.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UI/UX design.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating visual design expertise for web applications.

  • Proficiency with graphic design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.

  • Experience in creating and maintaining design systems.

  • Experience designing for B2B SaaS platforms, especially with data-heavy workflows, search or enterprise user journeys, is strongly preferred.

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future. At this time, Voyager does not offer sponsorship for this position or related roles.

You will also:

  • Have a proactive, ownership mindset: You anticipate needs, drive progress without being asked, and thrive in ambiguity.

  • Have high EQ & change management skills.

  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment with evolving priorities.

  • Be an excellent communicator.

  • Be able to effectively collaborate with  all stakeholders: downward and upward, including senior executives.

What Success Looks Like

  • The Voyager product has a unified, modern visual language: consistent color, typography, and layout systems that reflect the company’s evolving brand and product positioning.

  • A robust and scalable design system and component library is in place, actively used by design and engineering teams to ensure consistency and efficiency across the product.

  • The product’s UI reinforces Voyager’s identity as a forward-looking, professional, and trustworthy data and AI technology company: consistent across internal and external touchpoints.
