How Voyager Platform works
Voyager connects to information in existing source systems and builds an indexed, searchable representation of what it discovers.
1. Connect
Voyager Indexing Agents connect to configured information sources.
2. Discover and extract
Voyager identifies source objects and extracts available metadata, content, geometry, and other relevant properties.
3. Normalize and enrich
Schemas and processing pipelines can map, transform, normalize, classify, or derive additional information.
4. Index
The resulting records are stored in Voyager’s Search Index.
5. Search and use
People and applications query the resulting catalog through Voyager user interfaces and APIs and can support downstream analytics and application workflows.
Voyager is designed to work with distributed authoritative sources without requiring all source content to be consolidated into a single repository. The exact metadata, derived information, or source content that is processed or moved depends on configuration.
